Current Connect is a ongoing showcase that brings local and regional acts on the rise together for one amazing show. Connect to what's Current when we pile on the talent into one show from the incredible acts in our region.
This first show will showcase the amazing female talent in Chattanooga featuring Hive Theory, Monday Night Social, Spinster and Ashley & The X's PLUS special hip-hop sets by Floami and Different Diva.

Hive Theory is a high energy Pop/Funk band from Chattanooga, TN. They will have you dancing with their mix of funky bass lines and sultry vocals. The members include Courtney Holder on vocals, Jeff Mcspadden on bass & vocals, Alex Keiss on guitar, Matt Grimes on keys/synth, and Zach Turner on drums. In 2017 they released their first EP Root Beer Float. The title track of the EP is a great introduction to their unique style. Compared to their first release, their newer music has grown in complexity and brings in a hint of progressive feel. Look for Hive Theory to be releasing their new material in the near future.

Monday Night Social
Based out of Cleveland, TN and known for their melodic blend of influences ranging from folk to blues with hints of bluegrass and pop, MondayNightSocial is a band poised to make their mark with unique songwriting and eclectic style. Their melding of various styles allows for a unique and resonant sound that compliments thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies. Ashley & the X's
If Tom Waits and Etta James were to have a musical love child, the result would be Ashley and the X's. Formed in 2009, Ashley and the X's combines the sultry and commanding vocals of Ashley Hicks with the steadfast ease of the X's ; Matt Shigekawa (guitar), Eric Parham (multi-instrumentalis), and Dan Walker (drums). With influences from 1950's doo wop to metal, they are sure to keep your ears awake and your heart on beat.
Floami Fly is a hip hop artist, singer, songwriter, and performer from Chattanooga, TN. Floami (pronounced FLO- AH-ME FLY) began writing and pursuing music professionally in 2010, and has since performed in Chattanooga, Atlanta, Knoxville, and Nashville, TN; in various clubs, bars, and festivals in the Southeast region of the United States. In 2012, Floami Fly was named artist of the week by Chattanooga Hip Hop Radio Station, Power 94. Fly was featured in the Mdaht’s music video “Time is Passin” in 2014, and has also appeared in Misadventures Magazine Music Review in 2014 as an artist to watch. In 2014, Floami was invited to perform at Chattanooga's annual music festival "Nightfall", as a featured guest in fellow rapper SoCro's set. In 2016, Floami was featured on Swayvvo Morton’s debut project “Cornucopia”; earning her praise and recognition from Chattanooga’s weekly alternative magazine “The Pulse”.

Sisters Rosalie, Rachel, and Amelia formed the trio, Spinster after unearthing their grandfather’s accordion in a closet and spending several summers learning pop covers on a hodgepodge of acquired instruments, from the mandolin to the washboard, glockenspiel, and upright bass.
Spinster melds familial harmony and old-timey sensibilities with pop sounds, reviving classics of doo-wop, 80’s art pop, and 90’s boy band rock.
Kandace LaDiva Carter is a local musical artist born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. At the age of 5, she found her interest for music, singing in the children’s choir at Vision Church of God. As years went by, LaDiva passion for music began to grow even more. Her early musical influences were Soul For Real, Boyz 2 Men, Mariah Carey and many others. In middle and high school, she was apart of two local groups called 5 Deep and Lady Bosses. They participated in many talent shows and summertime events at Hang Time.
After high school, she met her engineer, Carol Woodall, and together they began to develop her musical style as a solo artist. She changed her name to Different Diva, to accompany her new image. Different Diva makes her music based on real life issues such as crime, relationships, and uplifting people. With her shining personality and the ability to connect with the audience through her songs, she began to grow a fan base.
